CrisisGrid
CrisisGrid is a believable first slice of a crisis-management platform. It's purpose is to have an overview of a crisis area, centralize communications, have a clear view of resources deployed and resources available, assign roles to teams etc. It consists of a browser based part for a command centre, and a server based part that manages and communicates the centrally kept status information.
Its architecture separates the browser-based command centre from an operational core service, giving the example clear UI, application, integration, and domain boundaries without pretending that the entire product has already been built, but once you have e decent design and architecture for a system, a lot of the work becomes mechanical and iterative.
